COURSE OVERVIEW: While the fundamental principles of financial success may appear straightforward, many of us still grapple with unnecessary stress, allowing our relationships to suffer as a result. Officer Wellness has emerged as a crucial aspect of the law enforcement profession, profoundly impacting individual officers and their families. This engaging program aims to empower officers, fostering a more seamless integration of financial success into their lives and, in turn, alleviating stress within officer-family dynamics. This program is unique because it meets each individual where they sit in their current situation. Rarely is there a one-size-fits-all solution but this method of handling money is able to do that by relating to all and aiming to break the stigma that personal finance is complicated.

COURSE TOPICS:
Throughout the day there will be interaction, polls, exercises, and discussion to maximize engagement.

“One thing I always try to make clear upfront is that this is not a pension class, not an investing seminar, and not a sales presentation. It is an educational workshop intended to provide officers with practical information, hope, and tools to help them make informed decisions regarding their personal finances. The goal is to meet officers wherever they are financially, understanding that personal finance is personal and that every officer’s situation is different. The course touches on the wellness side of financial stress, current financial trends and traps we are seeing impacting officers, and provides a practical blueprint officers can follow with their finances, including an in-depth breakdown of the Baby Steps framework. Some feedback has been its basic, others have said they wished they learned all this sooner!” – Timothy Cooney
