Course Description:  Criminal offenses committed against animals are often overlooked and not prioritized. However, it permeates and affects most traditional areas of law- including tort, criminal, family, civil and constitutional law. Through extensive research, a link has been established between crimes committed against animals and those committed against human victims. Often these crimes against human victims do not become apparent until the crime against an animal has been discovered. Recognizing and understanding this link and how to properly navigate from the inception of the investigation to the witness stand is the key goal of this course.
